FARMERS MARKET FINDS

Markets in the region are magnets for creative chefs and producers. Our list will grow in time, but here are first selections. 

Coco's Crumbs specializes in gorgeous fruit pies, scones, and pastries. They can be found at the Millerton Farmers Market.

Lynn Mordas, owner of Dashing Star Farm, has developed a unique cross breed of sheep (using the English Romney and Border Leicester breeds), creating a beautiful palette of natural colors for wool. She's at the Millerton Farmers Market every Saturday. See her story HERE.

Dominic Palumbo's Moon in the Pond farm produces meats, vegetables, honey, spices and herbs. Even hot sauce and green chili oil paste. You can find Dom at the Millerton Farmers Market, and see his story HERE.

Summer rolls served with peanut sauce,  made from rice paper, veggies and herbs. Vegan/gluten free. Jackie Bergman of Farm Country Soup brings these to the Great Barrington Farmers Market.

Earthborn Garden tomato ginger marmalade - one favorite of many preserves from Anne Banks. She also sells produce and maple syrup at the Sheffield Farmers Market. Anne plows her fields with Norwegian Fjord horses - see her INTERVIEW.

Strudel-Z makes apple strudel from hand-pulled dough. Available at Great Barrington and Hudson Farmers Markets.

Blue Hill Farm sausages from the grill served on Berkshire Mountain Bakery ciabatta are found right at the entrance to the Great Barrington Farmers Market. Sean Stanton is the farmer - see his INTERVIEW.

SoMa Catering, from West Stockbridge, brings a brick oven on site to the Great Barrington Farmers Market. Pizzas pictured above: kale, mozzarella, goat cheese and onion marmalade pizza; eggs, bacon and potato pizza.
