CAROLINE ALEXANDER is founder, publisher and contributor. Her background in public broadcasting led to this site's development as a venue for documentation of a community through its own voice, using audio and text interviews. Visitors have been encouraging and appreciative of a website that showcases content through clean design, portraying the character of this place without the hype.

With deep familial ties to New Orleans and Holland, a life of visual experience through painting and photography have informed this commitment to produce an organic, evolving space. It's gratifying to document local stories and to convey the productive energy that is palpable throughout the region.

ANNIE ALQUIST is our curator and guide to yoga in the Berkshires. She's created a website, BERKSHIRE YOGA, that's a perfect resource for finding yoga classes. Annie says, "When it comes to yoga and wellness, the Berkshires has quite a bit to offer. So much, that it can be hard to find just what you are looking for."

Annie teaches yoga at LifeWorks, Kripalu and at other venues. She's describing a selection of yoga centers here, interviewing directors of LifeWorks Studio and Sruti Yoga Center to help distinguish the styles of practices in Great Barrington. Additional venues will be added over time. In addition to her work with yoga, Annie works as a real estate agent for Barnbrook Realty in Great Barrington.
