The Berkshires, long a cultural draw with Tanglewood, Jacob’s Pillow and MASS MoCA, are “a place where farmers quote Plato, where art historians grow micro-greens, where days-old goats wobble gently on new legs, where the woods are lovely, dark and deep.” [NYT] There are stories to be told here.

The agrarian scene works in tight relationship with a proliferation of magnet restaurants and seminal creative entrepreneurs. Chefs, farmers and makers are local, or not … doesn’t matter. They’re judged by quality of product and relationships with the community.

“SUPPER CLUB’ posits a setting of open dialogue - a podcast series based on conversations sparked à table, but leading elsewhere - about living in a vibrant community inspiring creative ways. Suggested segments include the following personalities, a starter list that can expand significantly depending on production estimates.

TWO CELEBRATED RESTAURATEURS, Jean-Francois Bizalion [Bizalion’s] and Stephane Ferioli [Alta Restaurant and Wine Bar], are each from France and their heritage is integral to the nature of how they live and how they run their respective restaurants. Family is close for each, and Jean-Francois’ and Stephane’s family members work the restaurants. Travels home to Europe occur often, and in the Berkshires they’re sportsmen, hunters and wine aficianodos. As friends, the men share a unique energy, immediately palpable in conversation.
